I got my laptop in 2009. It’s a ASUS K61IC-X1. I was wondering if it’s still good compared to other laptops today? Can I play most of the games today? Here are my system specs:

I want to do some gaming on the computer but my computer sucks for it? Can you guys give me any good suggestions for a good cheap computers i could buy for like maybe £200 – £300. The sort of games i want to play are like world of warcraft, starcraft, call of duty, battlefield bad company, medal of honour. I want to play games of this quality and at a good speed and frame rate…. Any Suggestions?
Ok From my last five years in computer business and major, I suggest you to build one for your self, and I can tell you that you could save about couple of hundreds. That mean you can buy a five hundred dollar computer at the price for three hundred, if you build it yourself. Building a gaming computer is not hard at all, if you choose the right parts the rest is just like puzzle. I will give you the basic information you needed to build one, and where to buy the parts. Your other option is to go to craigslist and type “gaming computer” and put “300″ for the price. You could buy really good deals if you do your research. :)

What’s the most powerful laptop in the market for a software developer?
I am not looking for fancy looking Vaio or mini lightweight HP… I am just looking for the most powerful. I would need widescreen screen. the size is not a matter. I need a laptop for the only purpose of developing softwares while i am “on the road”.
Well, definitely not a Mac. i work with Microsoft Dinosaurs. Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server 2008, Silverlight (and all it toys), Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks. Mostly those.
It all depends on what you are developing. For what market, platform etc. I personally like Macs for development. They are easy to setup and get going on and have a lot of functionality. I would look at a mac book pro. I use a macbook for web development, C++ and java development.

The Best Laptop for an Architecture Student?
Hello, I am going to be an architecture student, and i want a laptop that is best in performing architectural programs (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, 3d Studio max, and all other architectural programs). I am not a serious gamer, but i do want to play games (like the sims, counterstrike, and i also want to play a fifa game, if there is one for computers), and i want those games to be very realistic and not lagging when i play it. I am also a Sound tripper, i like hearing music. I also want a laptop that can play videos at full HD. And when i surf the Net i want my laptop to be very fast! I want my laptop to be very responsive! I want a laptop that is Very, Very Fast!
